Hisaya SHIRAI
Partner and Representative Director
After graduating from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics, Mr. Shirai joined Yasuda Trust and Company Inc., where he focused on treasury investment development. In 1998, he moved to Lone Star Opportunity Fund, where he engaged in the pricing of non-performing loans, real-estate valuations, and the management of acquired assets. In 1999, he joined Merrill Lynch Japan Incorporated, where he was responsible for pricing and underwriting distressed debt, real estate, financing, and equity investment transactions. He was promoted to Director in 2005. He then joined Morgan Stanley Japan Securities Co., Ltd. as Executive Director and was responsible for the sourcing and origination of equity investments, specifically in the Media, Entertainment, and, Contents sector. In 2007, he co-founded White Notes and has conducted various investments in emerging markets. He founded Propre Japan Inc. in July 2016. He remains a registered Real Estate Transaction Manager. He founded Propre Pte. Ltd. in December 2017.

Kityin POW
Director
After graduating from Southern College (Malaysia) Department of Business Administration, Ms Pow joined the S.Y. Khoo Auctioneer Firm, where she worked on documentation and marketing of distressed properties. In April 2003, she joined Mohm Chemical as Business Development Executive. She planned and attended worldwide exhibitions to promote the company’s products and to secure new business. She was also involved in packaging design and shipping arrangements. After 8 years with Mohm Chemical, she joined White Notes SG Pte. Ltd. in November 2011 as Marketing and Administrative Executive. She joined Propre Japan Inc. in January 2017 and Propre Pte. Ltd. in December 2017.

Oki HATTA
Director
Graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Medicine in 1999. He joined an IT venture during the course at Graduate School of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine, the University of Tokyo to start up a new business related to marketing data analysis. In 2002, he became the head of data science department of a strategy consulting firm and was engaged in new product development and branding consultation services for a wide range of large companies. He then founded ECNEICS LABORATORY CO., LTD. (http://ecneics.jp/eg/) in 2006. ECNEICS LABORATORY has managed to establish a competitive and differentiated position as marketing data science company based on scientific theories and approach. Since 2009, ECNEICS LAVORATORY expanded its business franchise in four ASEAN countries and is currently engaged in start-up venture investment, incubation and new businesses development. He invested in Propre Pte. Ltd. in October 2018.

Eiji NAKAI
Director
Eiji Nakai started his career at Goldman Sachs in 1987, where he held a number of positions, the last of which was Head of Yen Fixed Income Trading in Japan. After Goldman, he spent nine years at Deutsche Securities, where he was a Managing Director and Head of Global Markets in Japan. He was also a Global Markets Committee member of Deutsche Bank Group. He joined Barclays in 2004 to lead the firm's franchise in Japan. He was appointed Co-Chief Executive of Barclays across Asia Pacific and also Chief Executive Officer of Barclays Securities Japan Limited. He was a member of the Investment Bank Executive Committee. In December 2019, he joined Propre Pte. Ltd. as a Director. He holds a degree in Law from the University of Tokyo. In 2014, he was nationally recognised by the Japanese government, with a Konju Hosho (Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon), for his ongoing support of the public education system.

Hidenori NAKAGAWA
Director
Mr. Nakagawa has extensive business and legal experience, including degrees from the University of Tokyo (LL.B., 1990) and the University of Chicago (LL.M., 1997), admission to the bar in Japan (1992) and the US (NY, 1998), and time with legal (Nagashima and Ohno, 1992-1999; Kirkland and Ellis, 1997-1998) and financial firms (Merrill Lynch, 1999-2004; UFJ Strategic Partner Co., 2003-2004; TMI Associates, 2004-present). Mr. Nakagawa joined Propre Pte. Ltd. as a director and assumes Compliance Officer.

Ryota NEGISHI
CTO
Ryota majored in Sports Science with a focus on biomechanics at the University of Tokyo. He engaged in research to analyze movement data of Olympic athletes and also served as captain of the ski club. After graduating from the School of Education in 1999, he joined IBM Japan in 1999 and managed mainframes. He also proposed, designed, constructed, and maintained core baking and information systems in the financial industry and has experience in project management and contract formulation. After retiring from IBM Japan, he founded R Sports Web Co., Ltd. Ryota has a wide range of IT implementation experience rom consulting for IT systems and website services to planning and operation for SMEs, organizations, and large institutions. Rather than approaching IT solely from an implementation perspective, he thinks of strategies to effectively apply IT that considers both the vendor and user. Ryota joined Propre Japan as CTO in January 2019 and started working on the Propre Pte team in March 2021.

Naomi DEGENKOLBE
After graduating from university, she moved to Canada, where she engaged in restoring Victorian architecture while managing development and design of a school-search website and corporate websites for local Japanese companies. After returning to Japan in 2005, she joined one of the largest TV shopping brands in Japan, she was in charge of design, photography direction, and illustration for their catalogues. After coming to Singapore, she worked as a web director for a trading company, where she was responsible for the renewal of the online shop, product management and various advertising designs. She left Singapore in 2009 for the United Sates. After studying drawing at Parsons The New School for Design, she worked as a freelance designer. She joined Propre Japan Inc. in 2017 June as a designer.

Swathi VENKATESH
Upon graduation from the School of Engineering at Amrita University in Coimbatore, India, Ms. Swathi started her career in 2013 as an Associate Software Engineer with Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions (RBEI) in Bangalore. She worked on embedded systems (C Language) to provide memory access within an electronic control unit of an automobile. From 2016 to 2019, she worked as an Assistant Branch Manager at Lakshmi Vilas Bank (now DBS) in Mumbai. While dealing with huge datasets from the bank, she developed an interest in data informatics to efficiently utilize the available data. She began her post-graduate studies in Geoinformatics and Earth Observation from Amrita University in 2019. In 2020-2021, she did her internship with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California where she worked on applying statistical techniques on an extensive water quality dataset. She joined the Propre team in 2021 as a data engineer and her interests are in geospatial analysis and techniques, GIS, and data analysis.

Atul TIWARI
Atul graduated from L.P. University (Lovely Professional University) in Punjab, India with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering and a minor in Data Science and Machine Learning. Before graduation in January 2021, Atul joined Honasa Consumer Pvt. ltd as a Data Science and Backend intern. He developed, deployed and maintained various crawls for data points and created visualizations for a market study project during his internship. His academic experiences have helped him gain proficiency in Python in addition to knowledge of Engineering and Computer Science. Atul joined Propre Pte. Ltd. in July 2021.

Muhammad THOUSEEF
Muhammad Thouseef graduated from Brearys Institute Of Technology Mangalore in India with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. After graduation, he started his career in 2018 as an Associate Data Engineer at PropsAMC Mumbai. He implemented, deployed and maintained various algorithms to crawl websites and API’s to get desired data points. Then he moved on to join PromptCloud Technologies in Bangalore, India as a Data Engineer from 2019 to 2021. In this role he worked effectively with design teams to create software solutions that evaluated user experience and significantly improved overall functionality and performance. Muhammad Thouseef joined Propre Pte. Ltd. in October 2021.
